Finding Faith in Prayer

Pile of Mustard Seeds

Sometimes I feel it is pointless praying. At times, when faced with the terrible suffering of others or in desperate circumstances I struggle to string any words together to God. Yet it is in these times that prayer is the only place we can go, it is often all that we have. “All” – thank goodness we are told that we only need a mustard seed sized faith. Because often this is the size of my faith in these situations. Yet the Holy Spirit can be, and can do far more than we could imagine! The truth is that God really does “step it up” when his beloved children need him the most. I have seen it, felt it and in my heart I truly do know it. We are told “do not worry about tomorrow“, that God’s grace is sufficient for each moment. So – although I can not conceive of how God can meet the heartache of a grieving widow, strengthen the mind of a mother caring for a seriously sick child, or reach into someone who has suffered traumatic rejection, I know he can! And he does, and he will. If we pray – the mustard seed  – can become a tree!

Janet I am so sorry to hear of your daughters loss. I am sure you are doing the right thing, love her, listen, cry with her, just try to stay in step with her feelings. Sometimes all we can do is hold someone and keep them as safe, cherished and as together as we can. But whilst you do this pray, in your heart, give all your cares and concerns to God your father. Allow him to hold you as you in turn hold your beloved daughter. Time is all we know, all we can comprehend but I believe Heaven is completely set apart from time. In the blink of an eye, we will all be re-united, grief is surely a long hard road for us on earth, which is why Jesus sent us the Holy Spirit to minister to our hearts. You carry the promise of eternity deep within you, be gentle with yourself, and gentle with your daughter. There will be such tough times to face, but love overcame, and I pray God would keep you both safe in his arms.

Please pray for my sister. She has stage for uterine cancer and right now she is having a very rough time. I’m actually at home with her now in bed with her while my husband and daughter are at our home. I know GOD is a healer buy our faith (me and my family’s) is really being tested when we just laid to rest a loved one that was suffering from a similar disease and lost another just a few months ago from cancer. She had three children and seven grandchildren and many more family members that love her dearly. Please agree with me that she receive her healing and be free of the pain that she is in. There so much more that she wants to accomplish in this lifetime and seven beautiful grandchildren that she wants to see grow up. Thank you so much for your prayers.

Please pray for my daughter & her husband for them to conceive and hold the baby in her womb.
It’s been 3 yesrs since they are married and my daughter was pregnant twice last year it was an Etopic pregnancy and this year she was 3 months and then lost the baby. Needless to say they were both devastated. My daughter is 10 years older than her husband but the doctors said her eggs are perfect. Please pray for both of them as having kids is their hearts desire.
    Thank you for your prayers.
    God Bless.

Yes, I will stand with you, how God must delight in such prayers, I have stood and prayed with many who have had the same longing for a baby, yet such struggles. Prayer holds and keeps, it shines hope into the darkest, roughest places and God is with us journeying alongside us. I have seen many beautiful children born and many families created through Gods redeeming Love!

What We Have Is Enough

Painting of Daisies

I love the “in between” bits in life. Those very ordinary days amidst the many plans, engagements, commitments and occasions. This song sprang up in one of those moments. Believe me, I wrote what I needed to hear! “What we have is enough” was penned as I had just survived another festive season. Christmas is Read More

I Missed The Moment

I Missed The Moment Song

As Christians we are asked to be the “Body of Christ”. This means we are called to work in close contact with others, to be the ones who engage with humanity at every level. This is a messy calling! It is not a setting apart from life, it’s about being called into participation! Every other Read More

Freedom in Grace

Freedom in Grace Music Image

We wanted to share with you the inspiration behind a track that we’ve recently released called “Freedom in Grace”. About a year and a half ago, just before the pandemic hit, I felt God was speaking to me, and to the world, through Isaiah 40 “A Comfort to God’s People”: “Prepare the way of the Read More
