between your shadow and mine

Intimacy with god - psalm 139

Between Your Shadow and Mine

between your shadow and mine
there is an ocean
deeper than one heart could ever go
between your shadow and mine
the wounds are open, safer in your arms than I have known

still I lose my way
I feel lost the days can crowd my heart (repeated)

between your shadow and mine
I know I'm broken, here I find there's nothing to disguise
between your shadow and mine
I live in freedom, sheltered from the sun that burns my mind
think that I can hear your voice, a heartbeat spun across the earth
colours spread into the skies, gently helps my spirit rise

how precious you are to me
search me and open my heart
when I awake I am still with you
between your shadow and mine
when I awake I am still with you
safe in your arms
when I awake I am still with you

I think one of our deepest longings as humans is to know that there is a purpose for our lives, that we have a role to play in this world. Thankfully as Christians we can be certain that life isn’t just a random series of events. God the creator of the earth and the heavens Read More

An Ancient Celtic Blessing

“May the Road Rise Up To Meet You” is a beautiful old Celtic blessing. Blessings are a gift and ancient ones like these help us to become open channels for the fragrance of Christ to surround those we give out to. I love the references to creation – the sun, the wind, the rain – Read More
